‘’Music is life itself’’
Find out more about me...
Like most good stories, mine starts with a heartbreak.
It all came to a head on Halloween Night, 2019. Music was there for me when no one else was; it helped me make it through, and I began to wonder whether the music I created to work through my own problems might one day help others. That was the moment my dream was born.
My first song was written that night, and I called it Night Train. Writing this became my ultimate coping mechanism, and I spent hours in the basement tinkering with it, finishing just as the world went into quarantine. I needed a new song to work on, and another heartbreak conveniently presented itself!
After a couple of false starts, Weatherman, Night Train’s spiritual successor, started to coalesce in my mind. This was quickly followed by Never Knew, about fear of commitment; Echo, exploring how it feels to be isolated in a friend group; Nowhere USA, focusing on someone looking to make it in “The Big City”; and Be A Man, Son, lamenting the pressures of traditional masculinity.
After several months of working on these, and perfecting my new favorite song, Weatherman, new inspiration hit as my focus moved from my emotions to those around me. Degenerate was my first song about another person, a close friend struggling with a difficult home life, and was written to give us both strength.
My most recent song, Schrödinger’s Man, was inspired by the famous thought experiment (Schrödinger’s Cat) and examines the uncertainty of somebody who has lost everything, dealing with suicidal thoughts.
Thanks for your support, and check back soon to listen to more of my work!
